Landing to Bali international airport, you will first encounter Denpasar, the capitol city of Bali, located at the southern end of the island.

In 1958, Denpasar became the seat of government for the Province of Bali. It remained the administrative centre of both Badung Regency and the City of Denpasar.

Originating from the root, ‘Den’ (north) and ‘Pasar’ (market), which refers to the area north of the Kumbasari market.

A hot and humid area, this area is a rich blend of Hindu and Islamic cultures that are represented by a number of monuments and museum.

Denpasar has encouraged and promoted business activities and ventures, contributing to it having the highest growth rate in Bali Province. 



Canggu is a coastal village on the south west coast of Bali, Indonesia. It lies approximately 10 km north of Kuta, and presents a more relaxing atmosphere full of restaurants and lively nightlife. Seminyak and Prereranang.

This village is now an up-and-coming resort area that is centered to cater to tourists. Its coastline boasts of black-sand beaches that attract avid surfers from across the globe to be challenged by its waves. 

Canggu has gained popularity among surfers as a longboard-friendly surf spot, one of the few on the island. 

Due to its large number of expect residents, digital nomads and Instagram celebrities, the locals call the are Balifornia.



Eighth-century legend tells of a Javanese priest, Rsi Markendya, who meditated at the confluence of two rivers (an auspicious site for Hindus) at the Ubud locality of Campuhan. Here he founded the Gunung Lebah Temple on the valley floor, the site of which remains a pilgrim destination.

The town was originally important as a source of medicinal herbs and plants; Ubud gets its name from the Balinese word ubad (medicine).

Ubud is located amongst rice paddies and steep ravines. Promoted as an arts and culture center, it has developed a large tourism industry. 

The town’s area comprises small farms, rice paddies, agroforestry plantations, and tourist accommodations. As of 2018, more tourists visited Ubud than Denpasar in south.



Uluwatu is a region on the south-western tip of the Bukit Peninsula of Bali, Indonesia. It is home to the Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple. It is know as the cliff-side area with a quiet and relaxing vibe.

The name Uluwatu comes from ulu, meaning ‘lands end’, and watu, meaning ‘rock’.

Uluwatu was “discovered” as a surfing destination in 1972, due to the making of Morning of the Earth, a 1971 classic surf film. Uluwatu received immediate attention from surfers across the globe. Today Uluwatu is one of the most popular surf destinations in all of Bali, with surfers visiting from all over the world.

Known for areas stunningly beautiful views it is a popular wedding destination.
